I am in awe of Cameron's achievement. This is an arduous undertaking for an artist and his crew, and they deserve full credit for what must have been a mammoth task. It will prove to do no less than revolutionize the tools of imaginative filmakers for years to come.
As far as I'm concerned, the blend of CGI and live action was seamless, as was the 3D effect throughout the film. The packed IMAX 3D audience I saw this with did not utter a peep for three hours. They knew they were witnessing technological history.
