Long on special effects, a little light on plot and background. Not that there wasn't enough of the latter two, maybe too much. And a tad bit hard to follow, especially the first half hour.
ALso, the local IMAX was somewhat disingenious with its online ticketing, failing to explain that the good seats were "Reserved" (and who knows how much more expensive).
Yes, I recommend this movie.
