This movie was beautiful in more than just the graphics. The connection that the blue people had to nature and how they viewed each other had a vary new age quality to it. My 4 year old son saw it with me and he always wants to know who the "nice" people are. It was hard to say to him that I thought the "humans" were the "bad guys". The disabled soldier being able to live a "new life" among these people where he could run, jump, and live freely again resonated with me because I have a physical disability of my own. I am not a very outwardly emotional man, but the love and empathy the blue people and the scientists had for each other left me tearing up a bit.
