Best movie of the Decade? Maybe most expensive, definitely not “best”. Iron Man, Dark Knight, Up... there’s 500 movies on the list ahead of Avatar.
It probably sounded great pitched; futuristic Pocohontas, with environmental and spiritually conscious undertones, but Avatar turned out fair to midland. Special fx that weren't so blow away. Horrible stereotypes. Action packed but a far cry from the brilliance of Terminator, T2, and Cameron himself.
Due to complaints about the color and blurring in 3D, I saw it in 2D… the movie still lacked. I want to feel the passion of the creative individuals behind the movie being made, rather than feel a movie studio's calculated commercial formula. Avatar is most assuredly the latter.
