Avatar is awesome. As a computer artist, I was totally amazed at the CG effects, modelling and seamless integration with live action. Clearly, the technology has advanced by leaps and bounds and Cameron pulled out all the stops, hiring just about every CG animator in Hollywood and New Zealand to work on this film including WETA, ILM and Skywalker Ranch. The story was good guys vs. bad guys with some romance added to the mix. Very engaging and moves along at a good clip so you won't get bored at all. You really don't notice the time passing.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
