Don't get high hopes.

My wife and I, along with our 2 sons, saw Avatar in IMAX 3D this past weekend. While it was a good movie, it didn't really gain much in 3D or IMAX. Some scenes were spectacular to watch, but most of the movie was not as visually stunning. (Both of my sons commented that the best thing in 3D was the previews.)
And is it just me, or was this Avatar film just a 'souped up' Fern Gully remake??
While I must agree that, technologically, this is a 'really cool' film, I cannot say that this is a movie that I would advise anyone to rush to see, especially not in 3D or IMAX.
But, maybe you're like me, and want to see for yourself. Go ahead and check it out, but my advice is to not get your hopes up too high. That way, you'll enjoy it more.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
