Please keep in mind how difficult it is to pull off a film like this, and the amount of work that it takes to not only master the CGI - but to blend live action and mix it all with spectacular back drops. Yes, the film has a often-used, predictable, and at times, very "green" agenda... However - It is a visually stunning, seamless CGI / live action film that has a decent if predictable story that will make you forget about your snacks. Years ago, Roger Dean released a book called "Views" - a collection of his art and designs. In Avatar, there are scenes that jump straight out of Deans imagination. There are also a few slack-jaw moments when you will look around to make sure no one saw you.
