Watching Avatar in 3D was an awesome experience - having been a fan of 'new' technology from the days of Cinerama and watching Star Trek in 70 mm, this movie was extraordinary - Pandora, Avatar's ever present backdrop became as real as any street scene filmed in New York or L.A.! Bravo James Cameron.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
