Drove to Ann Arbor to get an IMAX 3D theater, and it was worth the extra time and $$$. The movie is all about the FX; the story line, if you dissect it from the flash and sizzle, is a bit trite and well-worn. But Cameron can make you overlook all this in the grand spectacle. Besides, the good guys win! :-D
I hope he make a boat-load of money on this movie, so that it justifies (and therefore promotes) all the exotic technology and CG work - then perhaps they can be applied to movies with deeper content.
Still in all, I *would* recommend this to anyone who wants a gorgeous, fantastic action thriller.
