My son wanted to see this movie for his birthday. Reluctantly, my wife and I agreed to take him. We were glad we did. From the moment Zombieland starts it pulls you in and makes you laugh, scream and cheer. The movie and cast deliver 100% and keep you begging for more. The only let down is that the fun only lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes. We'll be visitng Zombieland again real soon. :)
I have to say when I saw the trailer for this film, I was pretty excited to go and see it. It had all the right components - suspense, mystery, action and just a dash of fright. Unfortunately the trailer is better than the movie. I found myself looking at the time and waiting for them to get on with it. Cage & company did their best with what they had to work with - a weak script. I wouldn't say it was terrible - I liked it to some degree, but I would have rather been watching it in the comfort of my own home with treats that didn't cost me an extra $13. My advice - skip the theater and wait for DVD.
If you are a Kevin James fan you'll enjoy a few laughs. Overall the movie was a good time, but it just kind of starts in the middle and the ending can be seen from a mile away. The previews give away most of the good parts, but I still found myself laughing and my twelve year old thought it was great! So how much can you really expect from a movie about a mall cop? If it makes my kid laugh - I'm in.
An action packed thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat until the very end! Think Ransom meets Bourne Identity. Who knew Liam Neeson was such a badass. A+!
My twelve year old son wanted to see this movie and with some hesitation I agreed to bring him. I have to admit, we both had a good time at this film. Any true Owen fan won't be disappointed since Wilson plays the usual laid back, sarcastic, deadbeat role as only he can. However, the kids in this film also deliver a fair share of the laughs throughout this film and make it enjoyable until the end. Don't get me wrong it won't win any Oscars, but for a film about 3 kids starting highschool, trying to fit in, and dealing with a bully - it had plenty of laughs for the 1 hour and 42 minutes of quality time I was able to share with my son.
I wanted to laugh and have a good time with this movie, but the Sandler clan failed to deliver! Instead I spent a painful 1 hour and 27 minutes looking at my cell phone to check the time and pray that the end was near. If you have seen the preview for this film it's safe to say that any laughs you would have had have already been used up. I'd wait for cable on this one and even then you would need to be sick with the flu, looped with DayQuil, and have the remote too far out of reach to change the channel.
