Disappointing Ending

Very good movie and definitely worth seeing. The acting from everyone in the film is first-rate; there isn't one weak link.
However, the ending is poor not because it leaves one hanging, which some movies do, but because one feels like the director is trying to make a resolution, but it's so abrupt that the story line that had been flowing along so well suddenly gets abandoned.
Otherwise, very good.

Very good - even in 2D

I am not usually impressed by visual effects, but there are many other reasons to go: excellent acting, interesting story, good pace... it doesn't feel like you're sitting there for almost three hours.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
