OK rental, not OK for theater

There were some great action scenes, but many that didn't make much sense, so were somewhat enjoyable. Too much of it was too slow. Soundtrack was tediously monotonous, too much was too dark and the script was not up to par.
I believe that Sherlock Holmes fans will like it, but it just wasn't that great of a movie. Law and Downey give great performances and look good on screen. Rachel McAdam's part was too small and she didn't help the film in any significant way. The direction was too stilted and the scenes were cut in a very weird way. Our teenaged boys liked it, but I could use the 2 HOURS 14 minutes back.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
