excellent movie experience despite some weak spots

Just saw Avatar 3-D last night. It was excellent. Been waiting for another James Cameron sci-fi epic and boy did he hit the nail on the head with this one. It was a great movie going experience and I think audiences of all ages could appreciate this story. Though the script and somewhat predictable story (though not bad) were a little weak at times, Cameron's fantastic fictional world and it's characters, and the amazing action scenes that he is known for made up for it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
