This is by far the best Pixar movie yet. The animation was superb and the story line original. Who would have thought that a story about toys could have anyone on the edge of their seat or bring one to shed tears? The movie's overall message is a good one and perhaps will teach children (and adults) about appreciating and valuing the things they have and treating them with respect. It's a must see for young and old!

This movie is awesome! One must make an effort to see this movie at an IMAX theater and in 3-D. While the plot is age-old: good over evil, it's a likable one. Evil humans want what the indigenous aliens have, and the indigenous must pay a high price. Bring in a few caring humans, who in the form of their assigned avatars (hence the apt name of the movie) take up the fight against the greedy humans for the underdog. The evil characters are sufficiently hate-able, the good characters are quite likable,and the whole plot is acted out against a tremendously beautiful and stunning backdrop. The movie is long, but the time passes quickly, because it's so engaging. This is a must see for everyone, even those who don't normally like scifi.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
