I don't expect a movie to be all about realism but this movie went way off the edge. I mean making statements about the Mayans predicting the end of the world and showing earthquakes as though they have a line of destruction that you can somehow run away from? I won't even go into the poor storyline and weak character development. And when a woman asks me 'where have you been all my life?' 28 days after her previous man gave his life trying to save hers I'm gonna jump off the ship to keep from being next. The effects were ok but nothing as impressive as people have been ranting about. Cut about and hour and 38 minutes off and put tape over a couple of the characters mouths and it would have been much more enjoyable.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
