Scorsese is past it

Visually, this is a beautiful film, with lots of eye candy. Scorsese does a nice job with the 3D effects. But the movie itself was lacking- in plot, pace, and predictability. There is nothing new here.
I'm afraid Scorsese's obsession with honoring the first filmmakers has clouded his judgement about making films. This is a self-indulgent, tedious movie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
