I thought the movie was excellent! Some have issues with the voodoo & a death of one of the characters. But its all within a reasonable context really. The voodoo is synonymous with the New Orleans setting and the use of it for evil purposes is demonstrated as the losing force between good & evil. The death of the character is no more of an issue for children as Bambi's mother was eons of years ago and really a little less traumatizing in my opinion. Overall it's a great movie, great moral message of reaching within for achieving your goals/dreams...a message today's children can't hear enough.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
