Great redux with nods to the Trekkies

I have been a Trek fan since I was a small child and, I have to say, I did have some doubts they could pull this off. They surely did though! It looked fabulous on the IMAX and I was happy to see how they made a whole new crew that played true without being campy and overdone yet was still familiar and comfortable. They also completely nailed the dynamics between the characters that the old Trek fans loved so much. I'm also happy how they addressed the problem of being able to make new movies that would have overlapped the timelines of the old ones. Great job to the cast, writers, and director! I cannot wait for the next installments to come out. They are going to have a hard time equalling this one though.
