Todd Phillips Delivers Again

Due Date was a lot of fun and inappropriately hilarious. Todd Phillips has truly given us another of the great comedy films of the last 10 years (along with Old School and the Hangover). Robert Downey Jr. and Zack Galifinakis have exceptional chemistry in this beautifully shot film.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Piranha 3D was truly a good time at the movies. As hilarious as it was gory! Alexandre Aja has done it again!

Mediocre Remake With Some Fun Moments

1981's Clash of the Titans is one of the first movies I remember watching on HBO as a kid. Ray Harryhausen's monsters,a great score and camp made it a great movie which stands the test of time. While not unwatchable, the 2010 remake is mediocre at best.
I respect the remake for trying to do some things different than the original... However, the inclusion of Ralph Fiennes as Hades as well as Djinn allies (just made me want to go home and watch WISHMASTER) are needless. While the new Kraken is moderately cool, the 3d is a little underwhelming. The only character update which is worth mentioning is Perseus' foe Calibos. While he doesn't have the presence of Neal McCarty in the '81 film they changed his backstory and he was formidably badass.
This is a watchable popcorn flick but nothing special. Go see Hot Tub Time Machine instead!
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Hot Tub Time Machine is the funniest movie I can remember seeing in the theatre in recent years. It puts Old School, the Hangover and 40 Year Old Virgin to shame. I highly reccomend this film to anyone legit with a sense of humor.

A Fun New Beginning For the Joes

As a lifelong G.I.Joe fan I was a little apprehensive about the Rise of Cobra. Especially considering this film does not use many established Joes. However, while not the best movie ever, Rise Of Cobra was tons of fun.
All of the Cobras are great (especially Arnold Vosloo as Zartan!) and Marlon Wayans is just as funny as he was on the Wayans Brothers. Rachel Nichols is the spitting image of Scarlett.
This film does have it's problems, especially if you are expecting it to be true to the comics and/or cartoon. I still highly reccomend it as a popcorn movie and it is worth seeing. I liked it waaay more than Transformers 2 and anticipate a sequel.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Stupid But Fun

Visually, this movie is awesome. Another plus is that Megatron and Starscream are portrayed much better than in the first film. Action is great and badass. The Fallen was pretty cool and it's great to hear Tony Todd's sinister voice on the big screen!
The negatives of the movie... Shia LeBouff and the other humans are pretty much unwatchable... The dialogue is insipid and all the characters except for Tuturro's are unlikeable. I could have written this script while on the can.
Don't go expecting a Shakespearian masterpiece... But RoF definitely is a flashy, fun film.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Hands down this is the best Batman film yet. It is intense as all get out... Probably the most extreme PG-13 movie of all time. Great performances come not only from Heath Ledger (best Joker EVER), Gary Oldman and Michael Caine but William Fichtner, Eric Roberts and TINY LISTER!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
