I took my 8 year old and 4 year old to see it and they watched, but outside of a couple spots never really laughed or seemed too excited about it. It moved kind of slow, and outside of Rover, none of the characters were especially likable. I thought the script and production weren't anywhere close to the popular productions in this genre. Really bland and uninteresting. The comment about the astronaut's "antenna" when he stands up naked got a laugh from the ladies behind me, but my daughters were thankfully lost on it. The other bathroom humor was a lame attempt to engage the young audience in recess humor. The story idea was fantastic, but it seems like after they sold the idea the follow-through fell through.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
