Too much violence

3-D effects were sensational, and an inspiring addition to today's movies. Yet, plastic 3-D glasses were not comfortable and much too big for a 3 year old. I would have like the whole movie to be more of a fairy tale image. All the angry faces, kicking, hitting and not so nice language were not necessary to make this movie a success. Would like to see another Shrek with a G Rating.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Tender, yet Very Very Funny

So many funny parts: I happened to be sipping bottled water when - much to my embarrassment- I ended up spitting it all over the person in front of me. At times I was laughing so much I could not catch my breath, I was holding my stomach and my knees almost came up to my chin ! The whole movie audience was "in stitches". Thanks John and Robin-- I needed that :)
Yes, I recommend this movie.
