I've read all the books and it was great to see on the big screen. Very close to the book which is what I like about the movie. The book is definitely better than the movie because you get MORE details in the book. I agree with the other readers that there could have been more action. Also, I think they could have done a better makeup job on Edward (It didn't look as natural as the first movie) and Bella looked too made up as well.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
