The movie wasn't great, but it had its moments. I will watch anything with Johnny Depp in it. He has an uncanny way of making any movie worthwhile.

Read the book by Nicholas Sparks first. One of the rare times I was not disappointed by the Movie that followed afterward. The story was captured brilliantly and the acting superb!

Spectacular Camera Work!! Two rival groups of wild chimpanzees are observed and filmed in their natural habitat. This movie captures the bittersweet existince of wild animals. It captivates you from beginning to end and is entertaining with clever narrative. It delivers a subtle yet powerful lesson about animals that are "Cute". The book is good, the story concept is good (even though it has been done before), Julia Roberts is good, her leading man is good, but something was missing here. This movie was simply dull and predictable. Sorry Julia, I won't hold it against you.
