The special effects were good, but the movie really was not. It was predictable, unrealistic, and had no scientific foundation. Why was the government in a state of panic, when they had years to prepare? The evacuation of the president, VP, and cabinet is an automatic process, so how can the White House now know where they were? How can a solar flair heat up the core, but not the ocean? Lastly, how can all the damage, acid rain, etc, all go away after just 27 days? At end, what were they going to do with the wild animals? With no food outside, what do you thing the lions, and other carnivorous, will do for supper?
Yes, I recommend this movie.
