I saw this movie last night and I can't stop thinking about it. It is well named. What is it to be and remain precious to your parents? Are these our most important relationships? What happens when you are no longer precious, when you should be? How does that make you feel about life, about yourself? This story is realistically done and it is painful. The ending was marvelous because through education she finds the ability to move forward, despite all her barriers. She is no longer the passive victim she was taught to be, but an actor in her own life. The story is inspiring in this sense and will make most people feel very grateful for the dysfunctional families they now have.
