an intense portrayal of a world in a downward spiral, but with a glimmer of hope and humanity in a relationship of a father and son. the basic premise is not deep, but what you dont see and are told are just as important as what you do see. the landscape is bleak, but the urge to survive is impressively expressed. the acting is far supperior to most movies. This movie is not for the faint of heart, it reminded me of the great philosphers who opined that the world without society would be violent, brutal and short. We came out of the movie debating everything, a little depressed, but pleased to have seen it.
