Very clever union of story and visual design. The organic, anti-CGI look of stop motion provided the perfect vehicle for a story that centered on the eternal struggle within all of us between our animal instincts and "human" civilization. But that makes the movie sound a lot more serious than it really is. In fact, it's often clever, silly, and even laugh-out-loud funny. The naturalistic voice direction was perfect.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
