Overall, we really enjoyed the movie. It did not disappoint. Sure, some parts of it were a bit far-fetched, especially with the kids and how they were able to make it out of some sticky situations. But the acting, especially of the actors who played the teenagers, was fantastic. And the relationships they built between them was one of the main focus parts of the movie. Some of the scenes were really intense--wouldn't recommend it for young children. Would definitely see again and buy the DVD. Steven Spielberg at his best!

This movie was different than the book in many ways--out of sequence, things left out and added in--but it was still an excellent movie. It was one of those rare movies where the movie was almost as good as the book, even with the changes. The scenes where Susie in in "the in-between" and heaven are breathtaking. I seriously can't believe so many people have rated this film so poorly.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
