3D has come a long way over the years. Used to be for horrors only and tried to thrill you with objects coming out at you. Keep in mind, this is not the 3D effect it is looking for. AVATAR grabbed the 3D reigns and ran with it. The floating islands, the motion of the characters, Na'Vi, human, AND animals. It made for an absolutely wonderful experience. The screenplay was good. As you will see the easily identifiable congruencies to the Indians of North America. The name and the tie with the land. As an active duty military, I thought they hit the nail on the head in the use of language and thought processes. Some of the good guys, some of the bad, and those that have to be pursuaded to pick a side.
