This film, like many others, exposes the realities and unkindnesses of modern love: the emptiness of noncommitted relationships, the hurt caused by lies of omission, etc. Acting is above par. Cinematography is outstanding.
The best acting (funniest acting) was delivered by the young son ("step brother" of the main character). This little actor stole many scenes. I wanted to hug this kid! The rest of the movie was fine, a little too tongue in cheek for me, though, in some parts (like the actors knew that you knew that they were trying to pull a fast one on you).
