I saw this movie with my 19 year old daughter. The acting was riveting. The abuse portrayed was horrendous. At the end of the movie I told her I hoped she appreciated NOT having a mother like Precious' mother. I couldn't stop thinking about the movie all night. I will see it again.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
