Saoirse Ronan killed it.........

Not since the Bourne Identity, Supremacy and Ultimatum has there been a thriller that was able to capture the audience the way that Hanna does. The way the story is delivered is excellent and even though you probably can't imagine a kid kicking a**, it works wonderfully.
The movie was shot in much the same mold as the Greengrass, Bourne films so you feel like you are on a ride rather than watching a movie. Eric Bana was in straight beast mode in this movie and showed that he is a very underrated and versatile actor. With Saoirse Ronan you are quite possibly looking at the finest child/teen actor (male or female) in the world, don't believe me watch Atonement or the Lovely Bones where she wasn't the star but still stole the show.
Bottom line, Hanna isn't a movie that hasn't been done before, but it is a movie that was able to get what it intended correctly and tell a gripping and entertaining story all at the same time.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This movie is so good it doesn't really need to have a very long section devoted to talking about it. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows was an exceptional movie and will definitely give closure to one of the best movie series ever made. I can't wait to see the continuation with part 2 later this year.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Pretty dope despite the acting.....

I'm not a fan of the cartoon and have never seen it so my review is based solely on the movie itself. I thought the movie was pretty dope and despite some lackluster acting it was still a pretty good movie overall. The CG was absolutely wonderful and in 3D looks great, but in all honestly YOU DO NOT NEED TO SEE THIS MOVIE IN 3D.
The being said, there were some weak points to the movie and they are all limited to the acting of the characters. The Avatar was done well, but when the kid playing him spoke that just messed it all up. He did a good job with the moves and the role overall, but they should have had someone voice over his performance because it was just flat.
Jackson Rathbone did pretty good, he was a little flat, but that's how he is in Twilight also, but he still showed more emotion than most of the other characters, save the Water-bending girl.
In the end I would go see it again and I am hoping the solid opening weeks figures will be good enough to get another film made. Fans of the series will be overly hard on the movie, but those that are just fans of movies in general should like it just fine.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

First off the movie was a nice length. I personally like long movies and this movie clocks in at just under 2 hours long. As a fan of the Prince of Persia video game series I think this movie did a good job of following the game's history and overall environment. The one thing I am kind of at odds about is Sir Ben Kingsley being the main villain, but that isn't enough for me to mark the movie down because he is an excellent actor. Gemma Arterton as Princess Tamina is perfectly portrayed and it doesn't hurt that she is beyond gorgeous.
Jake surprised me in this role. I have to admit I did not think he could pull it off, but he worked it out perfectly and I think this character is definitely his to own. Whomever penned the script added the humor and conceitedness of the Prince perfect and JG executed it perfectly. The use of CG was handled brilliantly and the costume and cinematography are excellent also.
As for the movie I would have done a little bit more with the Hassassin's because that could have been a story in itself., but it worked for the movie overall. I would have liked to see more interaction between Tamina and the Prince because this story is as much about her as it is about him. Definitely movie that can be enjoyed by all and fellas will not complain when Gemma is on the screen playing Tamina. Jake got himself buffed up a la Christian Bale in Batman for his part as the Prince and he seems a lot like the Prince for PoP circa 2008.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
