Instead of the Montegues and Capulets we have Vampires and WareWolves. OK, I get it. Not seeing the 1st movie or reading the books (I have read R+J though) I was a little confused to what was going on at first. This movie drags on and listening to teens express their love with promises destined to be broken is almost unbearable to any grown up. Teen girls watch this flick to see guys with their shirts off. Don't let the trailer mislead you, special effects are short lived. However, my girls loved it and I stood in line for an hour to get seated w/o complaining so I am cool in their eyes for a little while longer. If it convinces them to read a little Shakespeare down the road, all the better.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
