Cameron makes elaborate movies with simple themes and certainly doesn't miss the mark here. The same story told over and over again (indigenous people run off their land for the sake of the almighty dollar) is re-told yet again, but this time in a vibrant and beautiful other world, the likes of which the silver screen has not seen before.
Some of the acting is over-the-top, but overall the film is worth seeing in 3D. You might think about waiting to see it on blu-ray if you have a a high-end setup.
