Disney has done it again. Put an old story into a movie and you come out wanting more. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. What do those newspaper critics know. Great special effects, lots of action and a decent plot not to bore. Kids of all ages will like this one. Another one for the library when it comes out in DVD.
The wife really wanted to see this one. So I treated her to it the morning of the 4th. Thought there would be less kids for the first show. So some were a little loud and some were way too young, let's say freash from the delivery room. So there was a bit of crying going on. Some of the jokes were a bit over the young ones heads and the tense scenes of the Alpha dog being the park bully and the ride down the river scared others. Some laugh out loud jokes and a couple of 'yea right' scenes is why the 3 stars given. Must say though the wife wants it for the library when it comes out. I recommend for the not so young crowd, say over six. Oh yea, some may pick up on some of the lines and repeat as we heard from a very young little girl. "Wait for it...Brappp!!"
More action, great story. Mickey was great as Whiplash. Another piece of Capt. America and don't forget to sit through the ending credits or you'll miss a hint of another Avenger.
Myself, the wife and our 32 yr old kid thourghly enjoyed this one. The 3D was great, the story was fun. Some intense scenes for the little ones I would think and the sad scenes made the wife cry. We have got to see it again and when it comes out in DVD it will go into the library.
Lord of the Rings, The Return of the King" made Oscar History by being the first fantasy movie to be nominated for Best Picture. Could this SciFi/Animated movie do the same? Got my vote. Suppose to rain this weekend. think I'll go and see it again. 3D Rocks!!!!
Couldn't help over hearing some critics pan the movie and would not read the reviews in the papers. Normally don't listen to them and I am glad they were so wrong. All the stars had about equal time, dialouge and plot made sense. CGI! Review title is it, WOW!! Trouble is it was just a little too short, when it was over I was still vibrating from the rush and wanting more. That's why only four stars. Dedication to Stan (Inventor of the T-800) Winston was perfect. Can't wait for the next one, oh yea, it leaves you with that hole to be filled. Here's another one for my DVD library.
