My wife made me go with her to see this movie and even she said that the acting was terrible. It does however follow the books closely. Shes a fan of the movie and she said she liked it but it was a let down and not as good as what she expected it to be. The humor wasn't bad and it had lots of eye candy for the girls.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
