I saw the play in Minneapolis over 25 years ago and Tyler did justice with the movie. One needs to know what the movie is about in order to understand it. It is NOT just a black movie about Black women. It is deeper than that. It is about our lives, our struggles, our lessons, our hurts, our disappointments, our loves, etc. This is one DVD I will buy when it comes out. Again, excellent.
This was an outstanding movie. This family displayed the ultimate of love and compassion for another human being that was totally the opposite of anything in their so-called world. They proved that love has no color or size or boundaries. If the world looked through the Touy's eyes, we as a human race would be so much better off. Loved it...loved it...loved it.
