Director Chris Weitz has saved face and pulled the Twilight Saga future out of the corny-clip-montage the Twilight film set. The visual effects were impressive and the fight scenes were worth seeing in the theater. Screen play writer Melissa Rosenberg blended key excerpts from the book into the script fittingly and even added some clever comedy. On screen chemistry was still semi there between Robert and Kristen but the frequent make-out scenes were awkward, twitchy and seemed forced. Make up was slightly better but I’ve never seen Edward look so horrible even when he was “well fed”. Without comparing it to Twilight, New Moon can stand on its own two feet. It’s a good movie and I am looking forward to Eclipse!
