Great Improvement!

New Moon was visually stunning, and much less awkward than it's predecessor, Twilight. The actors seemed much more comfortable with their lines, and emotions. I also think the makeup was about a million times better. The vampires actually LOOKED like vampires! Not to mention the special effects. You could see each individual wolf hair rustling in the wind. To make this movie, that was so complex, in such a short amount of time is amazing to me. I saw it twice already, and am planning to see it a third time soon.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
