Overall I liked the movie, an appropriate amount of ups and downs. However, I would not recommend you take your children to see this movie. I would say that the movie ended abrubtly, no ending really, it leaves you wondering if she was successful, if she ever married, if she ever forgave her mother, etc . . . .
I'd view this as an afterschool show or something that belongs on Lifetime.
