Mo-cap, both phenomenal and jejune.Characters are thin,the story simply does not call upon them more often.And sadly,I just wasn't buying the romance part of the film,its development just wasn't shown.Saldana's performance was solid, she receives a lot of screen time, and because she is playing a character out of our cultural norm,makes us believe her and her people.Lang had an awesome role,plays the school bully who is also the cool guy on campus wonderfully.Horner score compliments the film without becoming distracting or generic.Creatures are neat, realistic and make the world realistic. It lacks the emotional depth,but does offer a tour de force experience.A good film experience,maybe not a great film.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
