So much talent to so little avail. Evocative film-making and fine performances are buried under a mountain of too-much care taken with too little material. If somebody had carved out about 30 minutes worth of redundancy, there could have been a good film here. If you can't stand to miss a Scorcese film, go with low expectations and enjoy some cool shots and good moments.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
