I was so excited to go see this in HD and on the big screen and it exceeded my expectations. I think they did a great job with the the digital remastering and sound.... It's not going to be perfect when the movie is 70 years old. I loved the short intro with the movie history, it built the excitement and I learned things about the movie I never knew before. As for the movie itself, seeing it on the big screen was one of the most magical beautiful moments of pure happiness in my life. All the pure childlike joy the Wizard of Oz creates took hold of me again and like never before. On the big screen I noticed things I never noticed before. I only wish they would show it on the big screen more often so everyone could see it!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
