This movie is an excellent way to spend a couple of hours. The story is not so watered down that adults find it childish, and not involved enough to put it too far over kids' heads. It's also not "The Johnny Depp Show." Mia Wasikowska is the star and it shows, but the ensemble is very well-balanced. It's fun and funny, and even as a 39-year old adult I found my pulse racing a bit at the end, and hoping there would be another Tim Burton trip down the rabbit hole during the closing credits.
And I'd like to learn how to funderwhack. :)
Yes, I recommend this movie.
