Skip the Movie, Buy the Book

Saw the movie after reading the book... very difficult to connect with the main character in the movie. The book was a different story... more details were offered about her and her deepest thoughts, both practical and humorous, were made known. I did not relate to the character in the movie at all and did not find myself routing for her. Too much attention was paid to the portion of the movie where she is in New York going through her divorce... more emphasis should have been put on her transformation and discovery of self. Not enough attention was given in India where she experiences some very deep connections with the heavens and herself, major achievements that clearly displayed her growth and strength. Please read the book, because there is a lot to get out of it, but the movie is pretty much a drone in my opinon.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
