The movie is mostly an accurate visual retelling of the story. However, objectively, it's kind of boring. I think the Twilight director, Hardwick, could have made it a more interesting movie. However, if you are a big fan of the book, you will be pleased, if only to finally see the movie after months of build up.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
