True to the Book

I was very impressed with how much this movie stayed true to the book, while not leaving the portion of the audience who did not read the book lost. It definitely stood alone as it's own entity. Mo'Nique did an excellent job and her performance is absolutely Oscar worthy. It is a heavy film, but it is worth the watch.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
