The Trailer is Better...

This movie not only failed to live up to the massive hype and the roughly $260 million budget, but the sequence of events was simply unbelievable (even when you already know you have to suspend your disbelief for it). That being said, the special effects are AMAZING and are worth watching. Overall, this movie is about an hour longer than it should be and is nowhere near as good as Independence Day or The Day After Tomorrow, but still a decent weekend flick.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
