Avatar is far and away the most spectacular movie I have ever seen. It sets a new standard for movie making. The performance capture effects are an order of magnitude better than anything that has ever been done before. The 3D effect is so seamless that you forget it’s in 3D after just a few minutes into the film.
But it’s not just an effects movie. It has a beautiful story that fits in perfectly with the visuals. How man has squandered his own planet and is now going to other worlds to get the resources to save themselves. All of this mixed in with a beautiful love story. Needless to say I loved this movie, and it is now my favorite movie of all time.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
