Tron: Legacy is a beautiful follow up to the original, with a slight homage to 2001: A Space Odyssey in some of the scenes. The 3D was subtle and not overbearing. There are plenty of action and visual thrills to keep your interests for the 2 hour running time. The plot makes sense considering the source material. If there was any real disappointment for me, it was that the character Tron was virtually non-existent... after all, the movie is named after him. Tron should have been more than just an after-thought or plot device.
My wife has read all the books, but she has a habit of nodding off during movies. I haven't read any of the books, so I see the films without any preconceptions. She nodded off for a little bit, but was happy with the film. For the women, it is a romance movie. For guys, it has vampires vs. werewolves. What more could you ask for? Enjoy!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Best. 3D. Ever. That should, in fact, be enough of a review, but the rules are that I need to write at least 50 characters. See this movie. Time compresses when you see this film. The shortest 2 hours and 40 minutes you will ever spend.
In the classic episode "City On The Edge Of Forever" the Federation ceased to exist because McCoy traveled back in time and saved pacifist Edith Keeler changing history. Similarly, Star Trek as we have grown to know and love (call it Star Trek Prime) has been altered in this new movie due to another time travel scenario. Much of what may or may not transpire since "Enterprise" which pre-dates the events in this movie, or possibly the events since "First Contact" (time paradox issues are really hard to resolve here) suggest that much of what happened in the original series, and sequels, may never have happened. Or maybe they did. This was a smart way of re-booting Star Trek, or to put it more bluntly, this ain't your daddy's Star Trek!
In Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indy said, "It's not the years; it's the mileage." 19 years after "Last Crusade," Indy has put on years and mileage, but he still has what it takes to outwit, outplay and outlast all adversaries. Although not quite up to the level of "Raiders," this latest film is much better than "Temple of Doom" and certainly the equal of "Last Crusade." I won't go into the plot, but if you enjoy the non-stop action of Indiana Jones movies, you will not be disappointed by this movie.
